How We Work

Service with a smile

Our partnership with Children’s Health in Dallas, Texas enables The Extra Step Foundation to provide direct support to patients and families facing financial hardships. We assist families with at least one child (under 20 years old) battling a life-threatening illness at Children’s Health, offering financial relief for urgent needs they are unable to cover.

Our assistance includes, but is not limited to, medical expenses, rent, utilities, food, clothing, transportation, and essential household supplies. Beyond financial support, we take a hands-on approach—visiting families in the hospital, delivering care packages, and providing uplifting activities such as games and personalized gifts for the children.

We recognize that a child’s illness affects the entire family. Parents often struggle to balance medical care, work, and household responsibilities while supporting their other children. Our mission extends beyond financial aid—we strive to ease emotional and logistical burdens, ensuring families feel supported throughout their journey.
